Everything Google Things to Do Can Do for Your Tours and Attractions (Webinar with Tourpreneur)
Google Things to DoOctober 26, 2026
Watch the full webinar with Tourpreneur's Peter Syme: how tour operators get listed on Google Things to Do, win the Official Site badge, and turn that placement into direct bookings.
Before you read on, watch the webinar β it is the fastest way to understand what the listing does for a tour business, and it answers most of what operators ask us before signing up.
I recorded this with Peter Syme of Tourpreneur, after we started working with operators from his community. If you only have twenty minutes, watch this before you touch your feed.
What we covered
- How the listing actually works β where your tours show up across Search, Maps and attraction pages, and what triggers each placement.
- The Official Site badge β what Google checks before it hands you the link, and why most operators miss it on the first try.
- Feed requirements β titles, images, prices and landing pages that survive review. Our title guidelines, image guidelines and landing page guidelines cover each one in detail.
- What travelers click β the difference between a listing that gets views and one that gets bookings.
- Live Q&A β operators asking about their own setups, which is where the useful stuff comes out.
The questions operators keep asking
Do I have to stop selling on Viator or GetYourGuide?
No. Keep the OTA channel if it fills your calendar. The point is that direct bookings keep your margin and your customer list. We charge $25 a month, with no commission taken from your bookings.
How long until the link is live?
Most operators are live in days, not weeks. The slow part is usually Google's own verification of your business, which you start on your Google Business Profile.
My booking flow is not on my own domain. Does that matter?
Yes. To qualify for the badge your checkout has to live on your domain. Lesson 2 of the Get Found Online course walks through picking a booking system that meets that.
What if I do not have time to set this up myself?
Then let us do it. The how it works page explains what we handle, and the whole thing is $25 a month.
What to do this week
- Watch the webinar above.
- Check whether your activity already appears in the Things to Do carousel β search your city plus your activity type on your phone.
- Fix the two things operators get wrong most often: titles that read like internal codes, and images that are screenshots, logos or dark phone photos.
- Make sure your landing page shows price, description, location, rating and review count in plain text β our landing page rules list them.
- If the listing is live but the badge is not, start free and we will take it from there.
If you would rather skip the DIY part
We set up the feed, get the Official Site link live and keep it that way for $25 a month. Cancel any time, and you keep the listing. See pricing for what is included.
Have a question Peter and I did not get to? Ask us and we will answer it in the next session. More walkthroughs are on our YouTube channel.
